  • Tiny Tots: Ages 3-4 - one hour. Tuesday 3:30 - 4:30. Pre-ballet and tap, using activity songs and exercises that teach dance terminology; basic rhythm patterns and self-expression; and an introduction to classical music. The class focus is on the development of coordination, concentration, listening skills and self confidence; for learning teamwork, cooperation and positive interaction. The classes are structured and paced for the young learner in a LOVING, NURTURING environment. A FUN introduction to the JOY of dance. Ballet and a tap routine will be performed in the spring show.

  • Kinderdancing: Ages 4 ½-5 - one hour. Wednesday 3:30 - 4:30. Introduction to Ballet and Tap. Focusing on the development of coordination, self expression, listening skills, concentration, memory and self confidence through dance activities that are specific in their objectives, and FUN for the children. The class stimulates physical, emotional and intellectual growth and a beginning appreciation of classical music as well as fostering social skills in a loving environment that exemplifies the JOY of dance. Ballet and a tap routine will be performed in the spring show.

  • Ballet and Tap: Ages 6-8 - one hour. Monday 3:45 – 4:45. A foundation class of beginning techniques and applications of both forms of dance. This stimulating environment fosters a love and appreciation of the performing arts while experiencing physical, emotional, intellectual and social growth. Classical French terminology is taught in all ballet classes.

  • Trio Dance: {Ballet, Tap and Jazz} - Ages 8-10 - one and one half hours. Wednesday 4:30 - 6:00. An introduction to jazz, along with the appropriate level of ballet and tap study. Ballet and a Tap routine will be performed in the spring show. (must be in at least 3rd grade)

  • Intermediate Ballet: Ages 9-15 - one hour. Monday 6:00-7:30. Intermediate level of Classical Ballet, incorporating barre exercises, center floor technique and combinations, adagio, allegro, jumps and turns.  

  • Classical Ballet: Ages 10-16 - one and one half hours. Wednesday 6:00 – 7:30. Barre exercises, center floor technique and combinations, adagio, allegro, jumps and turns.

  • Level I and II Pointe: Ages 11–16 - one and one half hours. Wednesday 7:30-9:00. Eligible students must have at least three years of ballet training. Class consists of strengthening and preparation for Pointe study.

  • Advanced Pointe: Ages 15–18 - one and one half hours. Monday 7:30 – 9:00. By recommendation of the faculty. Proper physical qualifications, emotional maturity, and at least three consecutive years of ballet training in the Academy (or by audition if transferred from another school ). For the disciplined and highly motivated student.

  • Jazz and Tap: Ages 9–13 - one and one half hours. Thursday 4:15 – 5:45. Studies of all styles and techniques of jazz, incorporating jazz stretches, exercises, jumps, turns, progressions and combinations. Tap segment of the class includes rhythmic analysis, styles and techniques of vintage tap to the current forms. The knowledge of Tap Dance, and the sense of musicality it develops, is essential for all musical theater and jazz performance.

  • Jazz, Tap and Lyrical: Two hours. Tuesday 4:30 – 6:30 Ages 12-15 /                                Intermediate & Advanced class (ages 13 - 18) By recommendation of the faculty - Thursday 7:00 – 9:00. Lyrical and contemporary style jazz has its roots in ballet; the simultaneous study of ballet is a requirement for these classes.

  • Production/Broadway: Ages 8 and up– one hour and fifteen minutes. Friday 4:00 – 5:15. This class will incorporate aspects of all styles of dance as well as a taste of musical theater. Dancers will learn the importance of facial expressions and acting in their dancing. There will be a musical number in the show involving ballet, tap and basic jazz skills. The simultaneous study of ballet and tap is a requirement for this class.

  • Hip Hop: Minimum age 8 yrs - one hour and fifteen minutes. Thursday 5:45 - 7:00. This high energy jazz class incorporates the latest moves. Class begins with a jazz warm-up.

  • Contemporary: Ages 14-18 – two hours. Tuesday 7:00-9:00. This class will incorporate all skills from jazz, ballet and lyrical. This class will develop skills for technique, flexibility, and improvisation. By recommendation of the faculty, the simultaneous study of ballet is a requirement for this class as well as completing three full years of lyrical training.
